Swamped with your writing assignments? Take the weight off your shoulder!
Based on your readings this week, create a PowerPoint presentation or Prezi that addresses the following components about literacy development. Be sure to completely answer all of the questions for each bullet point. Use clear headings that allow your professor to know which bullet you are addressing on the sides in your presentation. Support your content with at least three (3) citations throughout your presentation. Make sure to reference the citations using the APA writing style for the presentation. Include a reference slide at the end. Follow best practices for PowerPoint and Prezi presentations related to test, size, color, images effects, wordiness and multimedia enhancements.
You will need to work with a child to obtain writing sample. This can be a family member or friend’s child. Preferably, the child should be younger than six-years-old.
Create a PowerPoint that includes the writing sample (you will have to scan the writing sample in order to add it as an image in your presentation) and identify the writing stage of the child based on the sample; Be specific when presenting your analysis.
In the notes section of the PowerPoint or Prezi include background information about the child such as age, educational experiences, alphabet knowledge, etc.
